A Favorite Line
I love this line, from T.S. Eliot's "The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock", one of my all-time favorite poems. I just covered it recently with my senior class. Not sure where this awesome photo came from, or I'd credit it.
It's weird--it's stuck with me for so long, I think, because my life has been the exact opposite of it (sometimes in a good way, sometimes not), but I can still "get it" so clearly from the other side. Such a beautiful and heartbreaking line...
I din't know, when I first read that line years ago, that in 40 years I would/could say the same thing.
